Clotrimazole is an antifungal medicine used to treat a fungal infection in the vagina and vulval area (thrush). This medicine belongs to a group of medicines called azole antifungals. Candida albicans is a yeast fungus that can multiply rapidly and cause symptoms in the vagina when other micro-organisms aren’t present in a normal balance.

Canesten 1 contains the active ingredient clotrimazole 500mg, Canesten 1 is a single dose treatment for vaginal thrush. It uses an applicator which allows you to go strait to the site of the infection for effective treatment of vaginal thrush.
